So my 914 has a early 930 front end.
I am going to need to use spacers so wheel bolts will be easier than studs.

Anyone know the best way to address this?

The back is 914 hubs drilled for 5 studs.
Those may need thick enough spacer to use one that bolts onto the existed and then takes bolts.

You'll have to figure out the bolt length with spacers and buy/replace accordingly.

Porsche wheel bolts, typically M14x1.5 with a R14 ball seat, vary in length based on spacer usage, ranging from stock (approx. 27-30mm shank) to over 60mm for, extended applications. Common lengths for spacers are 37mm, 40mm, 45mm, and 48mm.

I can figure out the lengths.

My question was about how to convert the hub from studs to bolts.

If I press the studs out, is there a threaded insert I can pull in, or do I need to have them machined?

Depending on how much of a spacer you need, some of them will come with their own studs, like H&R's:

Thinking the back will need 25 mm to 30 mm, and can use that type of spacer (Either with studs, or threaded for bolts).
The front is probably 10 mm to 20 mm so needs pass through spacers, hence the thought I need to punch out the current studs (930 front hubs/brakes/struts) and either pull in new ones, or have them set up for bolts (if that is possible).
Maybe just long studs and through nuts instead of the old Porsche closed alloy lug nuts.
