We are almost definitely going to get our 4-car garage sealed with some type of high-strength coating, but am unclear what type of coating we will get. I have appointments setup with Nature Stone and a Polyaspartic company.

What is on your garage floor or other horizontal surface?

Nothing beats porcelain tile for the garage. Cost is roughly the same as a properly installed epoxy/variant.

Doesn't it get pretty slick when wet?

How old is the garage slab?
If there is any settling yet to be done interlocking plastic tiles (Racedeck, etc) might be the safest long-term solution.
We did plastic tiles in the big bay, and 20 years later they still look great.

Issues?

How does it handle being wet as far as being slippery?

Friend has had polyaspartic for about 10 years and really likes it. Has enough texture to not be slippery.

I got two quotes for my 4-car garage. Both have some type of grit in the coating that aids in preventing slipping during wet weather. We will most likely go with the higher one as it includes moving all our junk out and storing it in trailers they bring to the property, AND taking everything we don't want (which is a lot). It will be a 3-day process to lay the five layers of polyaspartic. We have not decided on the color.

Vinyl tiles. Inexpensive and holds up well.
