Gentlemen, the universe always equals itself.
:kickbutt:
My hotshot friend with a GT3 is sidelined from the track by an adjustable motor mount sensor failure.

I’m sure it will require the Mothership and the PWIS, and a bucket-o-cash.
We are not concerned about his self esteem, that won’t suffer BTW.
Many shots fired on what he calls my “old lady” over the years.

Boy, reading about the PADM failure syndrome this morning, sounds common and ridiculous.

I saw an aftermarket fix advertised, using “static”, or what we humans call “solid” motor mounts.
Tech is fun until it’s not, right?

There's also a Chinese company that offers a (their marketing) more-robustly-designed sensor for the PADM mount.

I don't know if they're real or a scam.

The PADM mount mystery is very strange from a statistical POV. Some folks's Porsches eat them like Lays Potato Chips (can't have just one) and some folks have zero failures and 100k on their PADM'd steeds.

It is strange though that modern Porsches suffer from the same damn failure modes: motor mounts and water pumps.

FYI: It should be called an "Active Motor Mount"
