How did 928 WSMs reach this value?

I gave my set to Buckeye Land Sharks at an annual Christmas party, one of the members has them. Also had it digitally, IIRC gave it away

Obviously there is quite a bit of information asymmetry in the 928 workshop manual market.

The buyer of those shop manuals will soon figure that out.

One thing... I have never seen the 9-volume set in maroon. Only the 7-volume set. Thus, not sure it's real.

yeah, interesting. I' have the 9 volume gray set. Maybe the rarity of Maroon triggered the premium.

Since writing that -^ I have come across a 9-volume maroon-binder-bound set.
