I gotta admit that I just don’t get it when it comes the price of Singers. Yeah, they’re worth whatever someone is willing to pay, but I still think $3M is insane for a 911.

It needs some work and is in (literally ;-) Hicksville. Ohio!

It's a really solid looking car. Unfortunately, I'm picky these days and don't want one without leather seats or the biplane wing. I'm really wanting a white '87.

For a decade or so, I had (several) Mercury Grand Marquis as a company car, almost the same spec
Neighbors couldn't understand the gold paw-paw car with whitewalls and wire wheel covers next to a GT3RS with giant wing

We had K cars for employee vehicles for a couple of years. What a piece of crap they were.

Do you remember the recordings? " a door is ajar" drove me nuts!

Lee Iacoca's project to save Chrysler. Put a high sticker price on a piece of shit and discount it 20%. Everybody thought they were getting such a deal until the thing started falling apart after 10k miles.

Back in the early/Mid '80's our field techs were issued K-cars.
First the found the needed to add air shocks, because when you loaded the trunk with a few pieces of test equipment they would start bottoming out.
Then they found when you drove with enough pressure to keep the car level it would punch the top of the shock tower out.

I told him it looks like quite a car, and that he's a brave man.
Engine air filter is upside down and it needs plug wires (about 10 years ago.) And... I'll stop there...

RIGHT, CONTINUING ON :wink:

I'm not really a hot rodder but this package is strangely compelling.
An S10 chassis sporting the 4.3L Vortec V6 with a manual mated to whatever bodywork you like is a solid place to build from, eh?

Another green 928 with Pasha interior. One of the comments lists the # produced like this and it's higher than I would have thought. Regardless, still stunning in my opinion.

The Suzuki Jimny has earned a reputation as being a sturdy Kei platform, so seeing this one badged as a Mazda was a bit of a surprise.

Right, with a stock 400hp drivetrain it screams to me "all show and no GO" ... :attention:

Thinking the single-rotor NSU is too mainstream?

I always loved the technology applied to the 1930's Tatras, especially the 8-cylinder T87 models.
Maybe a pre-war Tatra T97 project is more your cup-of-tea;

By 1958 lots of American cars had switched to 4 headlights, which I always thought made otherwise-decent designs look awkward at best.
For example, the Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz in 1957 had superb styling (especially with the stainless steel roof) but the '58 4-headlight version just made me sad :bigcry:
How cool is the '57 Chevy to this day, but the '58 version...(ugh) not so much!

This car (1958 Dual-Ghia) to me was the pinnacle of style for the Rat-Pack set, especially the convertible;
