This town in Wyoming had a population of 1 a few years ago.

But there's been a population boom out there lately.

I do not have a picture, but only a memory…

I thought it was a great demonstration of the difference between US and UK literacy (…two peoples, separated by a common language).

Driving along in the Lake district, I saw a sign warning “ Insubstantial Verge Ahead”.

That being said, the idiomatic use of language is a difficult one both sides of the pond. Here we say “Soft Shoulder”. What the hell would that mean to a Brit?

Siesta Key?
Yep. I always back out of there if we go to that beach… watching some people turn around in the tight spot st the end - fucking priceless.

I saw this billboard last week on my way to Pittsburgh, and thought "man, that billboard has to be at least 35 years old". But if you get closer, you can see that it says "Find us on Facebook" under the credit card logos. Maybe Debra's marketing manager just got out after a 40-year sentence.
