First time Porsche owner, coming from Merc and BMW. He does some of his own maintenance, but knows nothing of 928s yet. He is certainly jumping in the deep end of the pool!

Very cool. It's interesting that Porsche calls part of the interior Wine when it seems to precisely match the Burgundy from the same era. I had a 1986 951 with the same interior color (but not linen seats) and you could get full Burgundy in the 928 too. You'd think it would be Burgundy/Linen but PCNA had a mind of its own back then. Code 98 doesn't show up in the 1987 Fact Book but 99 does which is Interior to Sample for $4,054. I think 98s Leather to Sample is just that...just the leather since the carpets and trim were Burgundy (Wine).

The 99 metallic Paint to Sample was $1,966.
