Ok I know a lot of you guys aren't into Facebook or any other social media. But this site was founded on the basis of free speech and that is something quite lacking in today's society. I figured why not really take this concept and run with it?
So you'll notice that on the top menu bar we now have a "Community" selection.
This will take you to a new section of the site that contains our articles, the gallery, and a Facebook-like newsfeed. Within here you can also form and/or join groups that can be made private where you can hold conversations or share photos and files amongst yourselves.
Yes I realize some of you won't have a lot of interest in this so for that reason it is a completely separate section of the site and the forums will not be affected at all by this. No need to be concerned that I'm going off on a tangent here. What I've essentially done is create a wrapper around the forum. The forum is still the heart of the site but I also want to provide a mechanism for those who may not like the forum format or find it easier to network and communicate with social media features instead.
To explore the features you'll want to look within the circled areas where you'll find all of the functionality available:
In any case have at it and as always, let me know if there are any issues or suggestions for functionality you'd like to see.
