Hi,

I'm 75 years old and very interested in nature and science. Today is the first day I found out about Tardigrades - A microscopic animal that is a truly fascinating work of nature. I read it on my 1440 news feed.

Here is a video on it.

Oh, please feel free to skip the last 5 minutes as that was basically ab ad for Ground News, another of my daily reads.

Enjoy.

My son got really into these about 4 years ago when we moved back to NC.

We went on a search for them in a wooded area where we scooped up some stagnant pond water. Found not only tardigrades under the microscope but mosquito larvae and other little critters.

They are really are amazing, if only we had some of their powers, eh?

Most of their "amazing powers" are only when in their "dried out" state, and it seems most here never reach that point. :hiding:
