17" 928 Wheel options? Avalibility + price.

Yes yes, beat to death. I just need close enough offsets + availability + decent price.

I need new tires. My S4 manhole covers were chromed at some point and beyond saving.

I want to move to a 17" wheel for better tire options. Are the 996 turbo twist wheels my best/only option?

The Cup I and Cup II wheels were on GTS's. They are 17", and 7.5" front with proper et65 offset as well as 9" rear and correct offset. There was also a Cup II wheel in 17" with 8" width and et70 that were on VERY FEW GTS's as OE, and were on a few 911's as rear 'winter' wheels. They are more common in Europe than US. They are excellent on the front if you'd like a wider tire.

The Cup II are my favorite wheels.

However, I can't justify trying to hunt them down. The 996 turbo twists are close enough.

I've got Cup 1's on my 84 Euro (the Stepson). They look great, are not expensive, and are worth finding.

Still not a fan of the turbo twist on the 928.

However, they were relatively affordable so I cared less when they arrived distastefully damaged by the fedex idiots.

I don't think those look bad on our cars, the actual turbo twist wheels on the other hand...

AHhhh, but the hollow spoke twists are a great unsprung weight reduction wheel.

I do like the turbo twist look on our cars. My favorite tough are the Cup 1s, which is what I run with. The Mille Miglas are very good wheels, and a lot less than the Porsche version, for essentially the same thing.

What are the offsets like? I looked the reproductions but they didn't seem right for the 928.
