Possible MAF sensor issue after driving through fresh oil surface. Thoughts?

Had to make am emergency stop at eye doc, then pharmacy.
By the time I came out, oil was already laid on my side, and reversing to turn around would have put me on the other side. Which also had freshly laid oil. So I drove on, clean up later.
Dash lights came on. Did multiple engine restarts hoping it would clear. First PTM, then PSAM once each, finally only check engine. Distance on oil 150 yards. Distance not on oil. to get home <5 miles.
Kept restarting to see if CEL would clear.
By the time I got home, total 5 miles, CEL cleared.
My theory: MAF got overloaded with fumes from the freshly laid oil. Thinking it was running too rich.
