as the title says the brown temp sensor on the coolant bridge 92860620103 is approx £90 from Porsche
one i removed from a 90 model years ago has on the 6 sides of it :
VD0
130 degrees max
92860620103
9.89
Germany
805/17/1

just got a VD0 323-805-017-002C sensor from ebay for a better price of £38
electrical connector, resistance reading, thread size and shape etc all identical, a direct fit for a Porsche supplied one.
on the 6 sides of this new one are
VDO
130 degrees max
is just blank with nothing on it

Czech republic
805/17/2

old Porsche one pictured on the left, new one on the right, the old one looks black in the pics but its just and aged brown colour
hopefully help someone in the future
cheers

and an even more useful use of the sensor is as a waterproof, direct replacement for the HAVAC outside temp sensor in the alternator ducting.
just need a generic 2 pin connector on it as pictured, same as a fuel injector connector.
bottom picture looks like the multi meter probes are touching together, they are not.
and as the readings show it goes get hot in the UK, sometimes :beerchug:
hopefully will help someone in the future.
cheers
Phil
