I know the site is having issues and hard to use right now. Working on it and speaking with support to figure out what's going on. It's not just the forum as also the "main site" is having problems too.

Will keep you updated but know I'm on it!

I think those were just errors caused by the server being too busy to respond.

It appears we're getting hit heavily by bots. I checked the # of users and it was at 200+ which normally shouldn't be a problem but I guess they're doing something to slow down the server.

Still working with support but for now you'll see a Cloudflare page trying to verify you're human while you attempt to log in.

Ok things seemed to have normalized.

I'm going to leave the human checker on while I strengthen the firewall. If it causes any of you issues please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

They can't as that requires a login. But they're sucking up all the bandwidth on the public pages. The band-aid solution I applied though seems to be working so far. I'll continue to monitor for a little while longer and then try to deploy a permanent fix in the morning.

Cloudflare Under Attack mode to the rescue!

The site just confirmed that I was human. All I had to do was wait a couple seconds.

I have some work I gotta get done this morning but when I have a moment I'll come back and harden up the firewall then I can remove the Cloudflare human checker.

Human checker was really fast, hardly saw what it was doing, so no big deal for me.

What I had started noticing a few days ago, maybe even a week ago (but not today), was whenever I checked who was on the thread I was on, it started saying it was me and somewhere between 30-50 Guests! I didn't consider they may have been bots!!

“Skynet” as an integral part of a weapons system has been around at least since Aegis and Patriot systems are operating. Humans are just spectators when it does its thing. I presume there is way more clasified stuff that’s fully autonomous doing complex kill tasks, even more than a MIM-104 battery.

LLM could learn a non-woke thing or two if it read through the dive bar.

I'll get to the firewall edits this evening. Had a few things falling apart at home that had to get fixed.

I just went through the human checker and it seemed to get through in about 1-2 seconds but the sooner I can turn it off the better!

Haha you're right, I just figured no one would be using it here but I guess I guessed wrong!

Bots from China and Singapore where the issue.

I blocked them and we seem to be back to normal now.

Again if you see anything unusual please let me know.

We hit over 1700 at one point so that is nothing in comparison!
