I tried to update my avatar using both the Brave browser and Safari. For both, it goes to a blank page. I also tried on my Mac laptop using both browsers and got the same result. The signature edit functions appear to work properly, just not avatar.

What size was the image you were trying to upload?

Right now the auto resizing isn't working properly so images have to be 300x300 maximum.

I just tried on my test account on both Chrome and Edge, both on mobile and desktop, and didn't get any errors. So wondering if it might be the image itself causing the issue.

If worse comes to worse, I can upload it for you but let's see if we can get it working properly.

Different issue. On both Safari and Brave browsers coming from Apple products, if you click on the page to update your avatar, it opens up to a blank page. Can’t do anything from that page but to backtrack to get out of it.

Just tried on iphone 16 pro, firefox browser, works without issues, just needs to be sized down.

I don’t even get to a page that allows me to pick an avatar yo upload. When I click edit avatar, it opens a blank page.

Try on phone and with firefox browser

Just downloaded Firefox and tried it. Same result. I click “Edit Avatar” and it goes to blank page. Must be some setting on my account because the result is the same on multiple devices using multiple browsers.

Ok I'll take a look at your individual account permissions. You've changed it before though right? Or do you have the same image you've had since we got started?

I don’t believe I’ve ever changed it since I first set up the account. Really it’s not a big deal, just got the idea that I would change it and noticed it wasn’t working. Perhaps it’s a fluke on my account and not a problem for others.

I checked permissions, disabled and reenabled your access rights, and tested a number of other scenarios but I can't seem to break it.

Feel free to try again as maybe disabling/reenabling might have done something but not likely.

If you do want to swap out to something different, just post the image here and I'll swap out your avatar for you.

Ok, I appreciate the time you spent looking into it. I just tried again and still get a blank page. Oh well. My account is just, ahem, special.

I figured out a workaround. I typically use the “elegance” board style, but if I switch to “FLATBOOTS” it works just fine.

Oh crap I didn't even think to test that style. I did all my testing on Flatboots!

Yeah I can see that style being problematic because I have some modules that are specific to Flatboots to make the avatars a little more robust.
