H/P power steering hose restrictor, for reference.

removed from a 90 model, but i think all 87-91 model years have them.
its the part in the high pressure power steering pipe that can be seen resting against the suspension tower, next to the rocker cover, fitted there as its the highest point in the fluid circuit, but would need to ask a high pressure fluid transfer expert as to the why.
was interested in what was in there so had a look
dimensions on the pictures, just for future reference if anybody gets the rubber hose replaced at a local shop and does not get this part fitted, these are the dimensions of it.
led to believe it stops the power steering making a potential groaning noise

FYI: for GTS, the restrictor moved to the power steering cooler return just before the reservoir.

New Porsche hoses have the restrictor (at last the last one I got) but not the rubber bumper.

Batch before that had the bumper.

And I think I’ve gotten one with a bumper and no restrictor.

Always harvest the bumper.

thanks Dave, yes i have seen a few 928's without the bumper, will keep this one as a template and get some replicas made up.
