How can I figure out what size of tire I can install, taller the better.

On 955/957 the biggest you can go without lifting and cutting is 265/65 R18 and whatever the equivalent is on other size rims.

I'm a 955 right now i have 255 / 55 / R18 would like a mud and snow tire to give it a little more aggressive look.

So 265/65 R18 it is. Anything bigger will rub.

I forgot what I’m running for winter on wife’s cayenne, wait for a week or two till I switch (I have the rims and tires at my shop in storage). And I can then measure and say with confidence.

I run 265/50 R20 for winter on my wife’s cayenne. I think 275/50 R20 would also work but IIRC, I went 265s as they were in stock.

I would say that to be absolutely sure there will be no rubbing, just go with anything at or below 31” overall diameter.

Went with 295/40 R21 for summer for my wife’s ehybrid. No rubbing whatsoever, SUBSTANTIALLY better ride than 295/35 R21 factory size. And the wheelwells are also filled nicely.
