a kind gent on RL posted that Merc part number A 124 800 03 75 has the same rubber diaphragm inside it
so i bought a couple to try

and sure enough they are, black one is an original Porsche version and the orange one is the Merc version

luckily i have a spare front heater housing from an 88 i think so they are easy to fit and test with a mitivac
without looking i don't know which flap does which but they work in the actuator with the orange pipe and the yellow pipe going to them, but NOT the one with the green pipe going to it.

hope this helps someone and if anybody wants a pictorial guide on how to fit them let me know.
cheers

Footwell Flap - Yellow Line
Center Outlet/comb - Orange Line
I believe that the "Recirculation Flap - Blue Line" is the one that's hard to get hold of.

Worf, it's handy for us in the RoW to be able to get odd bits locally, because in more recent times, shipping costs and import charges, can make getting parts from Roger rather expensive.

Oh I get it. I just wanted to credit Roger with having done the research many years ago.
