Quote button in tools menu?

Is is possible or worth putting in a quote button in the Full review pane for posts and topics (pic attached for reference)

It was on RL and is used to put the quote function around selected text. This allows the poster to copy portions of post or offsite content, paste it into the the new post and put it into quotes at the click of a button.

This makes it easier and faster that quoting a whole post and then editing out the unnecessary content.

Let me see if I could add a button. The functionality is there you just need to type the following :
This is a quote from another source
Another option is the yellow/orange bubble between the lock and the caution sign. This creates an "Off-Topic" box that I might be able to re-label to quoted article.

So far, I've been typing the code but cane see how easy it is to use the Off Topic and change the code. That will work.

I removed the Off Topic (who needs that anyway?) and made it really easy to identify - "snippet"

Use that and you should be able to quote an entire article without having it be part of your own commentary.

Let me know if it still doesn't work the way you hope it would.
