Considering one for my S classes. They're so freaking heavy that I can't get em up into the air on the lift even with Viagra. With that all I have to do is reach under and "unplug".

Haven't jacked up the S yet.
It will be due for an oil change when we get back from our trip.
Going to probably try an extraction system.

My Quick jack has no problem with my CL63 (4600#), however with the S600 and S65 (both roughly 5000#) and the V12 lumps it's a no go. Putting them up on jack stands comparatively speaking is a royal pain in the ass and leaves marks on the driveway (unless I put a solid base of sorts under the stands). Once the tires start to elevate it stops. I'm contemplating selling the quick jack I've got and getting a midrise, two post portable lift for the garage. Unfortunately the height of the garage precludes a full rise. I've had great luck with a marine siphon. It gets close to all of the oil. I've done a comparison between the two and with my sons W211,and a former Saab 9-3, the difference was perhaps 1/2 quart at most. If you change oil as frequently as I do, I doubt there's a practical difference.

Getting the GL320 on stands is always a little stressedfull, but better because I work on concrete and not asphalt.
Always for repairs, because have been letting others do oil changes.
Assuming the year shapes up well, I will be adding a high rise 9 to 11 klb 2 post lift to the shop.
But before that happens I will need to do oil changes on both the S450 and GL320.
Assuming no one has anything bad to say, I'll be getting one of these quick chang plugs for the Cayman, and if it works well probably add them to the other cars.

I don't have the quick change plug installed but what I did do is go with is a magnetic plug that I can use a regular socket to remove instead of an allen wrench:

This thing is MUCH better than the original plug since I don't have to worry about it stripping if I don't remove it just perfectly.

But your quick change plug does sound interesting.

I picked up a red anodized aluminum one with a magnet for My first change.
I am not yot is really more durable than the original.
They both used an 8mm Hex/Allen.
Not sure why Porsche didn't go with a Torx.

Had a Fumoto drain valve on my Duramax powered GMC, really liked that. I did put a zip tie on it for security, not sure it was necessary, but I felt better.
Best part is I could attach a small length of hose to re-direct oil directly to a jug (2 jugs)
