This Z28 was“12 seconds faster that the Z28 we tested last year.”

Bullshit. Ringer.

“Bone jarring ride”

I remember driving a couple of those ‘82-<whenever> Z’s and TAs.

Buddy of mine had a teal 91 RS Camaro, best part of that car, like most chevy's was/is the motor. Everything else was pretty much crap, and it was particularly noisy and rattled. I freakin hate rattles in my vehicles, drives me nuts, hence me not owning an American car in years.

I remember the car mags at that time loving on the Z28 and then the IROC Z. Made me want to have one.

Thanks for posting. Fun watch.

Maybe I am reading too much into the video.
1.) The verbals were politically correct, salesman-like
2.) The pictures of the Z28 breaking loose, the belts coming off and pushing the Z28 around to the pit stop told a little different story than the verbals

I'm not against American cars per se and could easily see myself picking up a Cadillac CTS Coupe with a manual as a DD. But, the American cars from the 70s and 80s were particularly disappointing.
