Each of those is good for three ducts: price is for 11 feet. So, not as expensive as you think if you’ve got 3 928s or two friends.

POS OEM hose is ~$120-140 last time I cared.

The CEET and SCEET ducting is pretty impervious to 928 fluid excretions.

The hose David posted looks a lot like (maybe the same, maybe not!) this silicone hose, which I used for the intake for FI system on a classic BMW I sold a couple of years ago. Worked great - handles temps up to 260 degrees.

Much less expensive for one (or maybe two cars) at 3' length. Must cut the steel wire reinforcement to shorten. Available in different diameters, and also in orange/red or black. Don't remember the diameter of the 928 alternator cooling hose, these are 3" or 76 mm in diameter.

I used the orange kind and it appears to be completely indestructible. !0 years old and not a fray or scratch or hole to be found.

I was under the impression the OEM hose was NLA? The one I used is the closest I could find at the time to OEM in terms of color and construction.

Not exactly the same ducting, but same idea: impregnated hose.

There's no kill like overkill.

PET says that 900mm is needed. 35.4 inches.

It is unclear what length of ducting is available from your e-bay links. Maybe that price is per foot?

I'm recalling now - for values of 'recalling' that mean looking at my invoices - that the last time I bought a length of this stuff, I noticed that the prices for overkill had doubled.

$146 for 3 ducts worth of 2-1/2" ducting.

This stuff is not double-ply, so a bit weaker that the S/CEET. But still better than OE (which can be used as a towel for mopping up power steering fluid spills.)

The ebay hoses on the link I posted are 1 meter lengths - essentially 40". Thus, it exceeds PET length for the cooling hose..

I know I'm repeating myself, but I just call Roger and get the Gates hose for a good price.

Unless he sells a different type now, the one I bought from Roger 2 years ago is the type that fails when exposed to trans fluid.

I got some from mc master carr. Havent installed it yet though.
