Sealing washers on front brakes
87s4 with big reds
ive seen and heard two things.
#1. 1 sealing ring between the banjo bolt and the fitting as illustrated
#2. 2 sealing rings...1 between the banjo bolt and the fitting.....and....the fitting and the caliper block.
the WSM shows 1 sealing ring in the image yet describes 2 needed in the text?
Is that one on each side L and R....or ...2 on each side for total of 4.
part #14

I've always found, and used, 2 on each side of each banjo bolt.
PET wrong AFAIK.

One set was stuck and well flattened to the fitting...
Move along...nothing to see here....
While im at it...
What is the tq spec on that banjo bolt. I know it is treaded into the aluminum caliper.

I don't think I've installed a new set of brake lines that were not stainless steel. It's all I've been using.

Thanks guys. Just ordered a set of SS lines from Rog. 34yrs old would probably be a good idea...its all open now anyway. Just hope the lines break free without any drama.
