Were they using galvanized steel on the car you plan to weld on? If so, you'll want to brush-up on how to do that safely.

Yes. Pull the battery cables off, unplug your LH/EZK and grind off the galvanizing at the location you are going to weld and you will be fine.

Uh, except there are several documented cases of this being an issue. Why do you ask for advice and then just do what you want to do, ignoring what others have experienced? Disconnecting the LH/IZK takes what, 20 seconds?
