Wow I really like how this is all coming together.

The color is gorgeous and unique. Will surely stand out in the sea of silver and black 996s!

Thanks! It really does work well together with the red/black. Too bad more 996's did not come in wild colors, seems like more folks are beginning to move in that direction with builds and full color changes.

Mirrors all cleaned up and ready for PPF
Image

Hood completed ceramic and them PPF, should protect the Manthey sticker well. Need to find a good print shop to make a couple spares as this was the last one.

Beginning stages of ceramic then PPF on the rest of the body

Oh my goodness - take my breath away! I also gotta say, over the years I am liking the 996 front end more and more (but hey, I'm a 928 guy, so there's that :hiding: ) I've had the 997 and loved it, and it will likely be the 993 of the water cooled strain, but the 996 is creeping up in my book. And the 996 turbo is such an excellent package.

Thanks Linder! The 996 offers so much, especially the Turbos/GT3/GT2, between their toughness and power and reliability they do seem to begin to overcome the headlights lol. The 996tt motor has more charm than the 997tt IMO, but with what I am doing to the 997tt that could change.

If all 996.1s had aero I don't think it would have gotten the bad rep it did. The aero cars are really attractive in my book.

I was just giving Noah shit, but I agree. The .1 aero/GT3 is a great looking car. I may be slightly biased though. :beerchug:

Nice!

996.2s don't look bad with a few aero bits on them as well

Hands down the MK1 Aero, 4S and then GT2 are the best looking of the 996's IMO. Followed by the Turbo/MK2 Aero/GT3 and GT3RS.

Love you Pat :beerchug:

GT2/GT3RS/MK1 GT3/MK2 GT3/Turbo/4S/GT3 Cup would pretty much be the dream 996 garage IMO...

Very cool. Both 3.6L? If you haven't already, check out the UAOS. I just learned that you can increase the oil capacity quite a bit with the UAOS on the 3.6. Pretty interesting what Skip engineered. I have his UAOS and track drain on mine.

I bought the first version and then upgraded with the gen 2 product. But I have yet to install it because I figured I'd be doing an engine rebuild on the blue one soon anyway.

I do need to get one for the black car as that is the track rat and could use this upgrade.

Back to the original question, they're both 2002 models with the 3.6.
