Hmm, that looks legit and the price looks good too. No doubt some catch up maintenance is due, so budget $5K or $6K or so and then have a well sorted first year "S". I notice they painted the rear spoiler. That's weird, but it works.
^^nice. love the GT, but I just can't do red, dang.^^

Okay, here's one - a Shelby GT - I had this same car (mine was an auto, o/w identical). I loved it and missed it immediately upon selling. Like 928's, I'm a sucker for S197 version Mustangs. I have had 5. Truly exceptional cars for the money. I am very tempted on this one and on the Bullet also up for auction right now on the site.
Viggens and B5 S4's have always been my unicorns....every time I go to buy one things go super sideways or the sale ends up beyond sketchy. One of the Viggens had a branded title even tho it was never in an accident that I could find. The original owner said Mass RMV screwed up and totalled his car for an accident when it was not even on the road...Knowing the Mass RMV this does not surprise me.
Test drive of a Stage III Awe S4 ended with a broken axle and a turbo return line wrapped around it.....

I had two Viggen purchases fail. The seller backed out of the first deal because he decided to keep the car. The second one, the seller wouldn't respond to my e-mails. I still haven't completed a purchase on one.

Not on BaT but a street legal 962(ish) sounds like fun.
My cousin had an '82 SC exactly like that. Second 911 I ever drove and first one I redlined. A perfect car and the last 911 that really looked good in Guards Red IMHO.
RNM at $220K. I am thinking reserve was a cool quarter mil.

At that price the guy shooting the pictures might get some new shoes out of the deal.
2.5 mil for a motor seems excessive. I get Porsche rare is Porsche rare and the technology for the circa of engine is worth something....but

I have a friend selling a 2001 S4 with K04 turbos and chipped with cat back exhaust if you’re interested. It’s a great car!

Oh man that would be great and terrible at the same time. Truck purchase just took me out of the game for a little while.
yeah that minerva was gorgeous. A beautiful 86.5 meteor metallic gray just sold today for crazy money. It was a low miles shark. There is a rather pink (and not desirable to me) casis red GTS that just went up today.

If I posted all the cars I find that I like/want on BaT, I'd fill up two pages in this thread........and that's just in one week of looking.

You are going to need a bigger garage

Here's a real sleeper for those of you straddling the fence on jumping into the 928 pool. Swap that 85 mph speedo for a proper 170, and have at it. This is a good one: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1981-porsche-928-26/. Chiffon white over tan, gorgeous combination.

Wow that is a really nice one! Not sure if ready to jump into the 928 pool yet....have one in the garage that has been collecting dust of a friends.

Damn that is some strong money for a drivers condition G60 Corrado. at $11,111
I was surprised at that as well, but I think the colour has some intrinsic value. I expected it to be an original 40k-mile car at that price.

Yeah, looks like a repaint and the odd damage to the drivers door is a bit funky. I would want to put actual eyes on it for that type of money, normally a 8/10 G60 without a crazy history will trade hands in the 6,500-8,500 range. Thus what I have seen off the BaT craziness, BaT generally seems on VW's to be about 40%-60% over priced as there are a lot of other areas to find the cars.

A unique car I know next to nothing about, interesting shape!
A former navigator of mine had one of those, in pieces, in his garage. He shipped it off to his daughter in Iowa. I don't know if it ever got restored. He moved out there shortly after that, then passed away a few years ago.
Most any Lotus is going to be cool. I've always liked the Europa. I fear I would not fit, though.

Sorry, I still can't get the QUOTE function to work (?)
A friend that lives pretty much halfway between us has a Europa, if you would like to answer that question sometime

Always an entertaining day seeing someone who just got a Lotus try to climb in or out at the track. Can only imagine how their date would feel falling out and doing a reverse tuck and roll in a dress

Hey Brian, try the check mark of the little 'thought bubbles'.
To answer your question: yes. I would like to get that answer. Not that I would ever buy one, it would just be fun sitting in one.

I was fortunate enough to drive a Lotus Elise at BeaveRun (or whatever it's called now). Getting in was not a huge issue. Getting out was. In the most ungraceful manner, I had to lean out, put my hands on the ground and then roll out. Fortunately, there was no one there filming...
