And in other F1 news Ferrari shows how short sighted they are too...... sign their future CLC to a multi year contract and then sign the biggest F1 princess in history to just stir the pot!

THE HAM SANDWICH IS GOING TO BE A PANINI IN 2025......

Sky Sports is losing their minds!!!!

^^ Yes, I'm going to have very mixed feelings cheering for my beloved Scuderia in 2025...........I'll cheer for LeClerc, and hope the Cry Baby falls on his face. Personally, I think he's past his prime, and won't perform at the same level as LeClerc.

I would love to see CLC retire Hamilton like he did Seb. I like Seb much better than Hamilton and I know technically Seb went to Aston after the Scuderia but I'd love to see Charles get his elbows out and send the Panini packing!!

Quali was sure fun to watch this morning. The entire field all grouped up with in 1 second. Going to be a fun year I think.

Meet the New Year, same as the Old Year (channeling the Who - YEAAAAHHHHH). Another Max snoozer. Great races in the field though. Very happy to see Checo come in #2, and Ferrari podium.

Agree with all the above.

Phenomenal how much faster Max is than everyone else on race day. Yesterday, for the first 15 or so laps he was increasing his lead by 3/4 of a second per lap. Makes for a boring race, but you still have to admire his ability to get the most out of that car.

well at least the Netflix Drive to survive series was better this year than last year. Have one more episode to go, and it was a good season.

They (Netflix) are going to get three episodes out of what has transpired 2 weeks before the season start and what's happened after the first race. Geebus.

You bet. The drama is off the charts this year, with Christian's issues, Hamilton going to Ferrari, and so forth.

Some last minute drama for this weekend. Sainz is out with appendicitis and Bearman is behind the wheel of a Ferrari in Jeddah. He's been decent in FP3. Will be curious to see how he does in Qualifying.

That was quite the quali session. Bearman didn't do too bad at all.

I wonder if Ferrari now is questioning their decision to hire the "no-longer-fast" Cry Baby and not signing Oliver Bearman. What a debut drive.

The Australian F1 race tonight has potential to be interesting.

While Max qualified on pole, Tsunoda is in 8th, while Hamilton is down in 11th, just one spot ahead of Albon. The two Aston Martins are in 9th and 10th, so not much ahead of the also-rans. But the A-Ms do tend to have better race pace than qualifying pace.

My hope is Red Bull send Checo packing and Verstappen and Sainz are teammates again, like they were at Toro Rosso. Just have to keep Jos and Carlos Sr. away from one another. I would love to see Sainz stick it to the Scuderia and Hamilton in particular...... nothing against Ferrari I just think Carlos got the short end and I just can't stand Hamilton (and his legion of absurdly delusional fans).

While I prefer Sainz over Leclerc, I think that Charles ran a pretty good race in Japan, getting the best that he could from that tire strategy. I think that Ferrari is probably questioning their decision to sign Hamilton.

Qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix Sprint race later today was very entertaining. At least SQ3 was, as it was ran in the rain and the drivers were sliding all over the place. I'd really like to see them running in the rain more often, though I do understand why safety concerns limit that occurring.

My thoughts on Miami race are (I think..) similar to most people:

1) Great to see Lando win. Well deserved, appreciated by both fans and peers
2) NFW does Lando win without the safety car screwup; SC picked up Max, not Lando, allowing him to pit and maintain the lead. If done correctly, he would've rejoined somewhere around 4th-6th place, little chance to pass for the win (but I do think he would be on the podium)
3) Once the safety car mistake happened, Lando drove a flawless race and pulled a 7.5 sec gap. Lot of talk of damaged floor on VER after running over the bollard base but who knows..

Next race will be telling...are the McLaren updates real ? My guess is Max is still P1 easily, but McL moves into team #2 position, well ahead of Ferrari. Lets see what updates everyone else (Ferrari, MB etc) bring

P.S....KMag is still a bag of shit

Still a Max win today, but not like we're used to seeing. A couple more laps and Lando would have been right on his gearbox. Much more entertaining finish than usual - Max and Lando were both going full out on those last laps. Not a lot separating the top 3 teams right now.

While we're under red flag conditions, I've been meaning to post this for a while. First time I got a good look at Piastri's face, I think he was on the podium for a race. I was wondering who the heck that was. His facial features remind me of Greta Thunberg. :roflmao:

K Mag again......

you know he was sweating the stewards after that and he was lucky to have them rule no further investigation. I think he was trying to stay clean and there is an argument that Checo pinched him. Unlucky for Hulk though. VERY LUCKY for Carlos.

I don't see it that way. Monaco is such a tight circuit. You have to straight-line as much as you possibly can between the tight confines and the turns. Mags put himself in a bad place.

Not only did he take Perez out in a big way, but he took his teammate out too.

Wished I’d watched the Indy 500 instead of this snorefest.

How much longer will the F1 circus keep coming to town? I appreciate the legacy of Monaco, but it’s not a viable circuit for today’s F1 cars.

I think Monaco is an important circuit. They just need to modify the course or use smaller cars. Which is more realistic? I don't know.

It's a long shot but I would love it if they added a "Monaco sized" car to the stable of the teams.... say 2/3 sized. Should only cost them about 10 million per team.

Was away this weekend, and was just able to watch the F1 race from Montreal. Rain sure makes everything more fun. Watching the two Haas cars March through the field in the wet was a blast while it lasted.
While Max prevailed in the end, it really looks like McLaren and Mercedes are able to run with him. Should make for a good second half of the season. Meanwhile, Ferrari just wants to forget this weekend ever happened.

Well what a weekend. There was the Indy race running hybrids for the 1st time, and Dixon's car failed in the first lap due to tech failures, and there was that shyte storm of a NASCAR race in Chicago, but the real juice was F1 - very entertaining race for sure. And I know he isn't popular here, but I like Hamilton, and was happy to see him get the historic win. He was quite humbled, and did all the right things afterwards - i.e., didn't act like a Verstappen douchebag. Very refreshing two weekends in a row with a new winner. :beerchug:

2 entertaining F1 races in a row! What is the world coming to?

Looks like McLaren has been watching Ferrari for strategy ideas. They sure pissed away a great opportunity when they decided to not double stack Piastri for intermediates and then left Norris out too long when it was time to go back to the dry tires. While he may not have won, Oscar would have certainly been on the podium and could have been battling for first place. Great to see 6 different F1 winners so far this season, with the potential for that list to grow.

On a different note, a couple weeks after re-signing Checo, Red Bull seem to have realized that he has no future with the team. Gotta love some high cost soap opera.

It would have been much more enjoyable for me if Verstappen had of passed Sir Nars o' Sist on the last lap again........

I'm happy for McLaren although I think in typical Brit fashion they (the British public) have their new chosen one in Lando.
I like Lando but he comes apart when his feathers get ruffled, quite the opposite from their other driver. That Piastri kid is cool as a cucumber and is getting screwed over with strategy calls. The kid lost about 15 seconds on that extra lap and I think he was only 12.4 behind at the finish. I would have loved to see him battling Hamilton at the end instead of either Verstappen or Lando...... although the history Hamilton has a history of running into him, Piastri might have been a bit nervous himself.

Well now, Hungary made for some entertaining viewing. I feel bad for Lando. Even though the team buggered up their strategy (again) to screw over Oscar (again), Lando was clearly he quicker driver over the last 20 laps and I think he earned the win. Never would have seen Hamilton or Max give up the win in that situation. Speaking of Max, he's certainly turning into a whiny bitch when things don't go his way.
