Danica's yammering is much better than the drivel Lulu was just spewing. Although I've always had a crush on Danica.
I can't take that bitch. It seems there is a long line of past 'buddies' that agree.
Oh I'm positive she's insufferable but I'm not thinking marriage anyway.

What a great race.... I thought Mick was going to cost Max the win but he ended up giving him the gift of DRS....
Finally a bit of luck for Max..... the Brits were crying in their beers.

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but if you thought the Netflix show was drama, anyone catch what happened on grid prior to the race with Martin Brundle? I watched it live and then showed it to my wife last night and couldn't believe what we were seeing when Brundle tried to interview some female rapper I had never heard of before and her 400 lbs. bodyguard literally put his hands on Brundle and pushed him away. The same bodyguard then pushed Martin's cameraman away! To Brundle's credit, when a blond guy in this rappers entourage told him he couldn't do that, Brundle responded that he could because he just did!
I don't think a bodyguard that is literally 3 times bigger than a 62 year old man should be pushing him or his film crew whilst on a heavily secure grid with VIPs only. This isn't some nightclub afterall. Brundle was reasonably upset and responded to the interaction on Monday.

Yea, that was uncalled for and think they should have been tossed out of the paddock.
This dickhead needs a beat down and the FB F1 groups are trying to find out his identity. Looks like Draco Malfoy to me.

That dude was a little punk, but the 400 pounder was more concerning by pushing people. I honestly don't know where they thought they were. I actually felt good about not knowing who she was, but now I'm afraid that she's gotten more publiciity because of this fiasco.

My question is why would Martin Brundle, on his gridwalk, even try to talk to some worthless female rapper that 99.9999% of the audience (including me) wouldn't know? And I'm sure she doesn't know F1 from kite flying. She was just there to be "seen". I wouldn't have given her and her thug bodyguards pit passes.

Great race. I really thought Hamilton was going to catch him. Good for Max to either 1) wick it up a notch or 2) spring the sandbagging trap and let poor Lewis be disappointed.
But really, WTF was up with Shaq in that Austin tranny waterless-hot-tub-on-wheels?

Possibly explained as this with Max on the last lap. But I think part of it was Lulu running out of tires and Mick giving Max DRS.

My 2 pesos: The altitude seems to work against Merc more so than RBR.
Not sure if MB tried to compensate with higher downforce settings or if it was a combination of overheating of brakes and engine. But Hammy was also complaining about tires. He does that at every race - so who knows?

After a fairly entertaining F1 season so far, this was back to the boring old days, but at least it wasn't Hammie leading the whole way. This race was done after the first corner. Feel bad for Bottas - he just had no luck, other than bad, all day long.

I have not seen the race yet but in the F1 Tech Tuesday piece they have every week they detailed that the RB just has more down force than Mercedes. The Mercedes power advantage is negated by the fact there's 25% less oxygen at the Mexico City altitudes. The turbos are limited to how fast they can run so there is no advantage for MB or anyone else in forced induction.
Further, all teams run maximum down force settings in Mexico (think Monaco) because of the thin air, but actually produce less DF than they do when they run the skinny cigarette paper thin wings and DF settings at Monza.

Drama in Brazil after Hamilton's car doesn't quite pass post race inspection with a possible rear wing DRS gap being larger than 85mm. VER also under investigation as he walked over to Hamilton's car while in parc ferme and touched his rear wing - a clear violation of the rules.
Both drivers under investigation with stewards debating until 10 p.m. on what to do. They adjorned for the night and will take it back up this morning.

I was amazed at how quickly Lulu dispatched Alonso. He didn't have such an easy time of it in the past but yesterday it was like Alonso was driving a Haas.
Going to be an interesting race for sure.

The dramatic speed gain in changing an engine gave me the same thought as the illegal Ferrari engine of 2019 when SKY said that HAM's speed advantage on the straight with DRS was 27 kph!! There's definitely something amiss and no way RB will survive with such a straight line deficit for the next 3 races.
Sounds like Mercedes hasn't given the new engine memo to Bottas either as he thought they should hold track position for an easy 1-2 finish but when you have that much power, it won't matter. I doubt Bottas is being fed any new inside information as he's on his way out to a Ferrari powered team.

Wasn't a particularly entertaining race, as there's nothing anyone could do to counter Hammie's power advantage down the straights. His new power unit looked to have significantly more HP than the one in Bottas' car, too. Not a Hamilton fan, but think that Max was very lucky to not get penalized for pushing Hammie wide in the attempted turn 4 overtake.

BREAKING NEWS: Lewis Hamilton will not partake in the next 2 GPs due to human rights abuses by the countries of Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Sorry but that's what the headline should read if there were actually balls on Lewis Hamilton. Talk is cheap and it costs nothing to talk and do nothing.... yet another reason why a lot of people don't respect Hamilton off the track. Right now, Qatar is using slave labor to build stadiums for the 2022 World Cup and has been doing so for years... amongst other human rights abuses. Look it up, there's pages and pages of stories on this and other things. WE RACE AS ONE, LOL.
I hate that F1 has gotten political, but since it has, I find I frequently comment from a political standpoint as opposed to a racing perspective. Having said that:
Hamilton has the LGBTQRSTUV rainbow flag/colors on his helmet. Also, on the front of his helmet below the opening I see the word "POLICE" with something smaller written underneath it. Couldn't make out what it said, but knowing the stupid libtards' views, I'll bet it's not a supportive statement.
Qutar F1 about to start. Max will have a hard time today given his grid penalty.

It's sponsorship from Police Eyewear. Had to look that up when I first saw it way back when.
Grid penalties tossed out at the late hour for Max/Bottas, just now watching the pre-race run up and know the race has started already. I like what Alonso said, something along the lines of "i'm going for turn 1 and will try for 1st, I have nothing to lose but everyone around me does" or close to that.

Not a bad race. Great to see Alonso on the podium. Max's result was about the best he could have done but now his lead is only 8 points with two races to go. Hamilton's luck holds on, while Bottas continues to have miserable luck.

You have to go to YouTube to view it but a nice tribute to Sir Frank Williams.
Watch out world..... Lewis Hamilton is now serious about winning a title and it doesn't come a moment too soon before the last 10 days of the season... Unlike those that came before him such as Clarke, Steward, Senna, Prost and Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton has had to cancel attending fashion shows and actually work out to match the stiff competition of a rival with a car that is close to his....
What I admire most about Lewis is his unwavering self awareness.
Lewis Hamilton Reveals the Big Fashion Sacrifice He Made in Order to Challenge Max Verstappen for the F1 Title
As reported by The Sun, the 7-time world champion opened up about the massive fashion opportunities he had to turn down this year in a bid to focus on the title fight against the Dutchman.
“I have been working hard. And this is the best I have been able to give in a year in terms of the training, the time balance that I have,” he said.
“What I say yes to, what I say no to. On Sunday, it was the British Fashion Awards. And I was supposed to be on a really nice table. And I was like ‘I have got to be up training. I have got to be focused, I cannot risk getting covid’. So, I made every sacrifice I could this year.”

Man, I feel like a teenager again when I was so involved with who would win sports contests (at that time I lived for baseball).
I REALLY want to see Max win, he deserves it, and I have a real problem with the British homerism that can see Lewis doing no wrong..... he is the GOAT etc.....
Part of me wishes for a Lewis DNF just to even the playing field (after what happened in Silverstone). But the other part of me wants it to go into Abu Dhabi tied on points and to see Max just outdrive Lewis for the WDC, then all the Brit homers (yes, I'm looking at you Brundle, Crofty, Hill, and the rest!) can go stuff it, their GOAT was beaten by a better driver in a lesser car.
That stupid Merc is unholy fast, and NEVER BREAKS, unless you're Bottas.

LOL... ^^^^ True, Bottas always seems to get the punctured tire or other weird bad luck in the Merc.
I'm afraid this weekend will be a tall order for Max. Mercedes has stuffed the "Spicy Engine" (Toto's words, not mine) from Brazil into Lewis' car for this weekend's race so it only has 1 race weekend on the clock. Max's engine has 7 weekends.
Marko eluded to a possibility of Honda bringing out a fresh engine for Abu Dhabi and having Max take grid spot penalties. It's yet to be determined, but can anyone say, "VTEC YO"!!

Just catching up on FP1 and FP2 tonight and my God this track is fast. Seriously fast. It’s going to be a very interesting race for sure. I do want Max to win the championship and I’m not a Max fan, just freaking tired of Lulu in every aspect. I’d even be happy to see a Senna/Prost for the next two races just to see Lewis lose.

Fast tight track with no room for any errors. Aero wash will be a problem when following so close. LeClerc just lost the back end in FP2 and wrecked the whole car. I can see 2-3 safety cars during the race.
