Need a little advice. I installed a set of turbo twists on my 88 today. I love the look and the new Coni’s but wondering what to do with the front wheels to get the center caps to fit. The spindle dust covers come thru the wheel

Take the caps off and grind/file the rim so that they will fit further in.
You might want to measure how much extra space you need and measure (with plasticine) how much clearance you have inside the cap before you start.

Not sure what a "Coni" is. But you have "Sachs" dampers.

The front wheels are the wrong offset. So, assuming the wheel bearing dust cap is fully seated then your options are:
- determine if there's any gap between the end of the spindle and the dust cap so that you can grind down the cap (as per smiffypr above)
- use a wheel spacer if you've enough wheel stud length for it. Looks like all you need is a 3-5mm spacer.

The wheels fit perfect, bolt right up no rubbing. The problem is the dust cap up front, it sticks out thru the wheel, no room for the front wheel centers.
I saw a guy last weekend that had the same set up at SITM, his centers were on, never thought to ask him.

You can try the GTS dust cap which is several MM's shallower. I used those on my Kinesis wheels and sadly they still don't allow a center cap but it may work for yours.

So, I just went through this with my OZ Alleggerita wheels and tried using the GTS hub caps that were suggested above. With concave wheel caps there is no chance, as far as I can tell. Maybe if you filed the lower rim down a bit that would help get you more clearance, but even then, I think it would only work with flat wheel caps. I don't know how far you're supposed to drive the GTS spindle caps down, but I didn't get too rough with them and the mushroom cap was not making contact with the hub.

What I ended up doing is getting a set of the OZ center caps, which are convex, and those fit just fine. I am still deliberating about putting on a sticker or something, to get back to a Porsche crest, but at least for now my front wheels have center caps.

I have an idea for a different center cap that might be able to be turned reasonably easily on a lathe, but I have not gotten my machinist friend to help me with making a test example, yet.
