I posted this on the other 928 Forum about my experience with Ken's EZK modified chip (there are nearly 300 posts about it there). He developed this 'learning' chip about 3 years ago. Link: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/1 ... -chip.html

It's been quite a while since anyone has commented on Porken's EZK - S product, and I recently had mine installed (automatic GTS). It was done by Rich A., as he was also refreshing my LH unit. I've now driven the car about 70 miles since the refreshed LH and the EZK-S were installed. I'm VERY HAPPY with the results. I've done the recommended 5K+ to below 2K and 4K+ to below 2K runs for the chip to 'learn'. The car just seems to have more torque at low/mid range, and a noticeable transition in acceleration torque when crossing 4K on full throttle. The engine and auto trans just seem perfectly mated for either gentle driving or for aggressive driving on our twisting roads. At idle of 625 rpm (per tach), the engine is very quiet, and absolutely no vibration if trans is in neutral or park.

I'll echo a previous poster about the EZK - S EPROM, as it's true for me as well:: "Best Money I ever spent on this car"

Thank you Ken - job well done.:

It is great, and seems similar in performance to the cheap RPM Performance chips that I'd been using for the previous 20 years

It also has the advantage that I can return to using standard octane fuel, whereas the RPMs recommended high octane

However, performance dropped off over a while, and it wasn't until I performed a hard reset that the performance returned

That would have been fine if I'd realised that was all I needed to do, and it was complicated by the fact that my throttle switch seems to have failed to recognise WOT, so a battery disconnect was needed

Overall though I'm very happy
