I've thought of a thread like this for a while.

Sometimes I just want to visually see how some 928 part is put together or how it looks inside. Post pictures here for those ocassions that something 928 is sitting disassembled in all its glory in front of you or was unfortunately destroyed to reveal it's insides.

I have a couple, here's the first one: 87+ side molding. I bought some used ones to see if I could create a pseudo GTS rear fender side molding tip (NLA). I needed to see what they were made of, so I cut one in half - looks like it is flat metal stock plus rubber?:

if you have had a door card off an 87+ model and wondered what the indentation marks are for next to the interior light, they are for the coin holder.
have seen the indentation on all the door cards i have removed but you don't see many coin holders, and what they look like from behind
cheers

i have been around these Porsche's for the past 20+ years, but am used to the odd concepts that motor motor manufactures sometimes have as i have worked on French cars for the last 40+ years in the day job.
