new bushings but I'm talking about the metal on metal parts. I've seen some threads where people put molykote, copper antiseize and a variety of other stuff. The concave surface on the upright and the trans support and the convex surface on the dogbone fit together, metal on metal.

Pedantically it's the metal end of the bushings that mate with the transaxle carrier and the bearing carrier.

I've never had any problem with that interface even up here in Salt Country. I can take some pics of some ~35-year old bushings if you want.

WSM doesn't call for any coating IIRC. I use nothing.

Won't hurt to use a bit of aluminum-based anti-seize I guess. Copper-based is for steel-on-steel or where coolant might get involved (AFAIK.)
