I'm looking for a recommendation for a shop that can expertly weld / machine aluminum.
Location is a small concern, because shipping will be an issue,
but what I am really hoping to find is a shop that someone has personally used and can recommend.
Photos of my needed repairs are over on my post-mortem thread.
Thanks again for your time.
Very much appreciated.

Find a little airport with an A&P mechanic and ask him.

I have a very trusted guy for head work and repair. I’m in the Boston area. So, shipping will be a thing.

My guy’s not cheap and always has a mountain of backlog.

That's what I did to repair a MBZ block that had corroded at the head gasket. I bought welding rods with the closest Si content to Alusil I could find, and the guy came out with his son the apply a bead. His son used a torch to heat the area and he applied the weld.
