i gave a local graphic's company a genuine 928 S4 decal and said i need an exact copy of it, and that's what they came back with.... :kickbutt:

Instruct them to scan the sample decal and trace it in Illustrator, they likely tried to match by using fonts. Rookie mistake by the production artist at the sign shop.

They used fonts (fastest way) instead of scanning it and clean the digitized image.
Of course it takes more time but it's the only way to reproduce something correctly.
The better the scanner (higher definition), the less time you need cleaning it to make it perfect.
BTW, It's not just the "S" that is bad.
Big rookie mistake indeed...

It is darned hard to find the correct font. Best I've seen is called 911 Porscha but it is not quite right.
