LOL @ the Brit’s losing their shyte saying Mick just handed Max the championship by causing the red flag. Nice to see Max having a bit of luck for once, hoping for a great restart and that he can hold back the Merc the rest of the race.

Nope. Another mess. I'm not impressed with the confines of this track. It resembles NASCAR more than F1, with all the contact.

Exactly. Monaco is more confined, but the speeds are slower, and that makes a difference, not that Monaco is acceptable either. This is a dangerous track.

I am just sooooo sick of Hamilton. He doesn't even have bad luck when he has bad luck.
Not only am I sick of Hamilton, I can't stand Crofty and Brundle......
I've never seen more homer type announcers.
Spoiler!
As LPMM said, they (mainly Crofty and Hammy pants, I have to give Brundle credit on this one) lose their minds when Max and Red Bull get the benefit of the red flag, completely forgetting Hairdo was awarded the same benefit earlier in the season.
Then Hammilocks, goes SLOOOOOOOOW on the formation lap to make Max sit on cooling tires for the restart.....
Another red flag and all of a sudden Brundle and Crofty say we should now have a rolling start.... of course that would benefit HamSandwich. Nope Max makes an incredible start and makes up two grid spots....
Then Max defends, racing incident to me and surprisingly to Brundle, although instantaneously Crofty the bag boy compares it to Brazil..... they instruct Max to give the place, he slows, swerves a bit to be fair, and Hamfist tags the rear end..... another British meltdown.... Crofty and Hamilton, "He brake checked me!", Brundle (again giving credit where I can) "Lewis had plenty of room."
Max still gives place and then receives a five second penalty!
Max tries to pass Lewis again and Lewis drives Max off track........wait for it.........
Michael Masi gives Hamsteak a warning!!
I'm done... I think the ultimate justice would be done with Hammy blowing that wonderful engine in Abu Dhabi.....
Can you tell I'm a bit wound up over this???
I feel better now...
I hope Red Bull dials in their car and Max outdrives Hamilton in AbuDhabi and takes it.... although Abu Dhabi has historically been a Merc track (what do you know)

I must be the odd one out on this, but thought this was the most action packed race of the year. On the edge of my seat the entire time. I can generally ignore Crofty as he’s better than what we used to have the in states for announcers, but his talking over team radio is annoy as hell.
I didnt think Max deserved the 5 seconds penalty and Hamilton should have been penalized for nailing the back of the RBR screwing up the rear end and diffuser. But I s purpose this gives Liberty exactly what they hoped for, a shoot out on the last race of the season. If max and Lulu both crash out then Max wins due to number of race wins. Wouldn’t that be fun to see.
I think next year the drivers will have a better sense of what to expect on this track and will be a bit more cautious. I did enjoy it though.

yup. he had his wing crunched twice and it never mattered. and was faster with it in such condition.
And to think I switched from Formula Atlantic and Formula Continental to Formula Ford because I didn't want to keep futzing around with wings angles & aerodynamics............obviously they don't really matter.

yes I think that was some race too. In fact, this season has been pretty damn good. The Netflix show aught to be fantstic this winter/spring. They sure have a lot of material.
I loved how max clutched his champaigne bottle and walked off the stage. Bottas tried for moment to engage him with a squirt, but max was having none of it. The drama - almost like NASCAR!
Out here in the perimeter we is stoned, immaculate.
Verstappen wins race.
Hamilton wins race.
Verstappen wins by way of the Schummi/Senna plan.
FIA steps in if this happens and DQ's Verstappen and hands 8th title to Hamilton.
I'm going with my heart not my head..... Verstappen takes it on the run, I think he pulls out something special.

Lewis pushes Max off the track.
Max takes position from Hamilton.
Stewards: Max need to slow down and give the position back to Hamilton.
Max brakes.
Stewards: Not that hard!!!! Penalty!
Hoping for some good racing with the recent track changes, the track is supposedly 14 seconds faster now with many opportunities for overtaking added. Looking forward to Max out driving Lulu and getting his first championship.
As LPMM stated, it's hard to say who will win because the track has been reconfigured and IF passing is easier, then I'd have to give the edge to the Mercedes "Spicy" engine, as coined by Toto. A tighter track favors the Red Bull, but doesn't sound like this new layout is that. Qualifying will be interesting as well to see who will be chasing down whom.
If you recall in 2010, Fernando Alonso just had to get by Petrov in a Lotus to win a WDC for Ferrari and defeat Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull... Try as he might, Alonso couldn't get by him at Abu Dhabi
This Sunday will be Kimi & Giovanazzi's last race in F1.... based on this video, I'm recommending Kimi for Safety Car driver in 2022 - I don't think Max or Lewis will complain that the SC is driving too slowly LOL. Antonio is not a good passenger hahaha
After seeing the "changes" in the Abu Dhabi track (did they send it to Toto for approval?) I think it will be an extremely uphill battle for young Verstappen.
Here's to hoping the "spicy" engine in the Merc suffers from indigestion this weekend.

When asked if he has a pick between Lulu and Max for who will win this year's F1 championship, Kimi replied "Honestly, whoever has the most points will win" LOL!
Then he added, "It doesn’t matter for me who wins, but if I had to choose one, I would probably choose the Red Bull to win it. Something different, you know."

Max on pole...
YES!!! That was brilliant strategy...... I'm a bit nervous about the tires, but it was nice to see all the Brits trying to patch holes in the deviation from the expected result!

I don't know why RBR sent Max out on a 2nd run on the mediums when he was clearly fast enough to advance to Q3 and not put another lap on those medium starting tires. Perhaps the lock up was on purpose and they wanted to be on the softs all along but not have Mercedes react and go softs at the end of Q2? Why not split the strategy with Checo and have him start on mediums? I think RBR knew they had to do something different from Mercedes or they genuinely thought the soft would be better for their chances tomorrow. Deceit and misdirection until the very last moment. This is why I love F1!!
Bottas down in 6th won't play apart until the soft tire runners come in for changes. What if there's a safety car in the first 10 laps? Advantage RB? as they all go onto the hards for the remainder of the race? It's going to be very good tomorrow.

Funny I said the same thing to Lisa as we were watching. When Horner wouldn't face the camera when he was answering Brundle(or Crofty I can't remember). I thought hmmmm, maybe they really want to be on softs but don't want Mercedes knowing..... because you know Mercedes has 20 people watching trying to decipher body language.
All I know is Max and RB put themselves in with a chance, one quite honestly, I never thought they would have.
I would love to see RB win this title with strategy and driving.....

Wow indeed! What a finish. No matter what you think of him, u do have to give props to Hammy for class afterwards. He said the right things especially with how it went down. Still, they have no one to blame but themselves. They made bad pit decisions

I think they had no choice. They had to keep track position. Luck fell to Max and RBR for once. I am glad they got that last lap of racing in. We'd be lamenting what a boring season finale were it not for that.

That was a legit pass attempt by Max and a corresponding nonsense “he gave back the advantage” call by the stewards.
Separately, Perez is legend AF.
Great race and very happy for RBR and Max. The last lap was great racing but Perez holding off Hamsandwich was epic, he deserves a raise and a new contract. Loved the acknowledgment on the team radio “Checo is a legend…. Absolute animal!”

You might appreciate this. Haven't found part 2, yet....
And yes - Checo did a great job of holding up Hammy. That was the highlight of the race, to that point.
Just read all your replies guys, I can't argue with anything... Perez was epic.
Hamilton, "That really is some dangerous driving." REALLY? I would call that great defending.
The Merc engine is a masterpiece honestly... like my dad used to say, "That thing runs like a striped a** ape. "
