Any significance to the yellow paint line on the rear?
I recognize those calipers as Continental Teves (ATE). The spring with the yellow paint on it is used to maintain orientation of the fist relative to the anchor.
There are probably two practical reasons for the yellow paint. One, to visually confirm that the spring is in the box of parts at inspection. Or two, to verify it's installed on the caliber.
