don't know if the link will work, but got the usual model updates email from Porsche cars GB today and shows a picture of the 4dr 928 as a predecessor of the Panamera.

that's cool. I think the real predecessor was the 989, as the Panamera has more 911 design cues, and never really had 928 design cues other than the engine placement.
