This is off an '82 that I took on as a project, customer had been waiting a good long while and finally said okay.

When this is coming out of the tank, you know everything needs going through. Tank flushed, strainer/seal/pump/hoses/filter etc all new.

Fuel hoses, feed and return.

Then the injector rails came out and this is where it gets real fun. Take a look both pictures and tell me what you see has been done and what wasn't.

Hope I can wake these injectors back up and I have zero hope that the FPR/Dampers are any good.

I assume this one was flat-bedded to you?

Trick question? To me it all looks 'done.' As in done in. Dead. Deceased. Or, in other words, those are all "ex fuel lines" everywhere. (Except for those two shiny new ones top of first pic.)

And the injectors are likely:

Bird’s-nesty-looking thing under the strainer is the first clue in a scavenger hunt. I’m gonna bet there’s several cubic feet more of that to be found. BTDT. I hope it’s an ‘82 Euro S 5-speed and not an ‘82 USA Auto...

Yea, I made sure to leave a little of that in the picture. What I didn't get pic of was the amount of shit in the engine bay. I just grabbed the vacuum cleaner and went at it. Thinking it was going to be a complete crap fest of badly eaten wiring. Surprisingly enough, only one injector wire had chew marks and the air filter was chewed up. I did have to replace all the injector connectors due to someone breaking most of them in the past. The rest just looks like a car that has had no care in the last decade+. If Roger comes through tomorrow on parts I may have it to the point I can try and start it on Monday. Doing the belt/pump before I try to crank it over more than I already have. Tires look brand new but date codes of 1608.

The owner really wants to do a total resto on it (impulse purchase as his father had one, and this year is the year he was born) and I told him if he wants everything nice, clean and pretty to plan on spending a metric ton of cash to have me do all the cleaning and shining up or he can get a 6 pack every Friday night, some degreaser and a brass brush and gopher it. He wants me to get it running/driving and he can do some of the cleaning, then send it for new paint then interior to Classic9.

Set aside a storage container for all the parts. LoL. I assume this will be an "installment" job...

So, I guess my project is gonna wait a while? Lol. What is it about people wanting to save ‘82’s anyway. Maybe I can try to get mine to Classic9first.

Mine does run and has relatively new fuel lines tho...

Restore the suspension with all new bushings? Shocks? Calipers?
Interior: fix broken plastic, new carpets.
Probably wants the A/C to work too.
While you’re there you might as well add horsepower.
And a killer stealth install Stereo.
