Didn't the Viper have no electronic aids at all though?
Yup. But doesn’t matter.
There’s a mentality involved that thinks stability control is “intrusive.”
And…

I'm thinking the Vette will probably end up with fewer incidents because of the nannies and the mid-engine creating a little better weight distribution when accelerating. But never underestimate someone with a lot of power doing something stupid.
… stability control cannot produce traction out of thin air, reduce or increase polar moment, reverse human-induced extreme weight transfer, etc. It has no waiver for the Laws of Physics.
A 1000 hp car that weighs 3800 pounds (my guess) will get into trouble faster than you can imagine (for values of “you” that might not have experienced such power-to-weight ratios.)
I suspect that we’ll find out that stability control for this monster is an onion: many layers that have to be peeled away one at a time.
Unless a meteor hit the building housing GM’s lawyers there is *no way* it will be easy to access the full potential of this monster.
Hanlon’s Razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
Heinlein’s Corollary: Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.
The Reddit Conjecture: Sufficiently advanced stupidity is indistinguishable from malice.
Worf’s Razor: Never attribute to stupidity that which is adequately explained by laziness.
Worf’s Identity: Sufficiently advanced laziness is indistinguishable from stupidity
Worf's Law: Once you've mitigated risk from stupidity and laziness in your endeavors, failure is usually the result of insufficient imagination.
