Had a pretty big water bottle in the trunk of my Cayman. Went to remove it and oops, it had opened and gone who knows where.

I felt the carpet and it was a little wet but obviously all of that water went somewhere.

My question is, where and should I just let it air dry or start removing carpet to dry it out?

It's a raised area but behind where the engine would be. I mean underneath it all would be the exhaust but just wondering what hides within that interior space. Never had that cover off so just want to make sure it isn't something critical!
