In 2021 (and for the last 4 or 5 decades), this really shouldn't happen.

Oh man, base code must be missing a simple "If...Then" statement!

Let me see if the main phpBB support forum has that on it too. If not then it's something I can fix!

I have three thoughts:

- does PHP implement the ternary operator. (According to Siri is does(*))

- LISP’s format command has logic built infor this (and I know, because as a student I had to fucking implement “format” in all it’s complex glory for a ground-up reasearchy version of LISP.)

And I just noticed that I formed a misleading file name for that attached PNG file.

It should have been "Open Road Forum Struggles with Singulars.png".

This just compounds one of the most egregious things ever to appear on Open Road.

Arggghhhhh!!!

(Seriously, though, thanks for building and maintaining such a wonderful forum for all of us cranky RL evacuees.)
